Choosing the Sexiest Halloween Costume
By Charlie. Filed in Entertainment |If you had to choose between the Bride of Frankenstein’s Monster and the Bride of Dracula, the choice would be obvious, wouldn’t it? The legend of the vampire has always had a sexier allure than the wife of the creature once played by Boris Karloff. If you take a look at womens Halloween costumes , you’ll find a number of characters can be equally sexy, such as the costume of an Arabian Princess, a Sexy Nurse, or a Vixen Pirate Wench. But the Vampiress has always had an attraction ever since Bram Stoker first introduced the lovely sharp-fanged ladies who met Jonathan Harker in Dracula’s castle.
It’s difficult to say exactly how vampires became associated with sexiness, from Dracula to the Twilight movies, because these creatures of the night first began as mythological beings who fed on the essence of life (usually blood), and the belief in them may be prehistoric in nature. The first actual work of fiction regarding vampires, though, was contained in John Polidori’s 1819 work, The Vampyre , which influenced later works such as the little known Varney the Vampire to the well known Dracula.
For some reason, this creature has been with us before humanity knew how to write its own history and still seems to be with us today (with a number of television series and movies to support this claim), and over time, the idea of blood-sucking creatures of the night have somehow transformed themselves into sparkling, sexy vampires of both sexes, subject matter for entertainment that either gender might use as a costume for Halloween.
