One of the ways that the locals can spend their time off from working and get involved with city pride is to pile into the sporting arenas and cheer on their local teams. They have some great teams in the American football, baseball and basketball who are taking on the big league teams with force.
The Atlanta Falcons are a football team getting ready for another big year. During the summer months the players get involved in community activities by raising money for charities and showing up to local events. Then as the season grows closer they teams start to come together for training camp and gear up for the first games out. There is news about the new players they are picking to join and who may be leaving. Each year is a different mix.
The basketball season may have just ended but that doesn’t mean the Atlanta Hawks are sleeping. They are picking their new players for the up and coming season. The cheerleaders are getting their new ladies together and learning new routines. The arena is getting their space cleaned and tuned up to run thousands of people through smoothly and the new season tickets are on sale. Right now, in the summer time, baseball is at its peak. The Atlanta Braves are putting out their best pitches to try and win the world series.
